The new kitten

Milo is the newest friend on the farm. He arrived in a basket on the river, cold and shivering.

“I am Milo. I am the newest one here. Everyone made room for me right away.”

Where Milo lives

Just inside the barn doors

Milo sleeps in the barn, close enough to the open doors to see the yard. He likes being able to watch everyone without being in the middle of it — at least for now.

About Milo

Milo is a tiny short-haired kitten with pale cream fur and soft orange tabby stripes, oversized ears, wide blue eyes and a small pink nose. He is about half the height of Storm.

The others dried him, gave him warm milk and a name, in that order.

What Milo is like

• Still a little shy
  He watches first and joins in afterwards.
• Purrs now
  Which is a very good sign, and everybody on the farm knows it.
• Happiest with quiet company
  Somebody sitting nearby, not doing anything in particular.
• Remembers the river
  He still looks back at it sometimes.
